Iniciativa Guatemala (IG) works with local youth to train them in sexual & reproductive health (SRH) and provide leadership tools so they can make an impact in their schools and communities. The program offers participants a safe space to learn about sexuality and discuss challenges faced in their community. Youth Leaders are taught by IG’s staff and they provide peer-to-peer education with the goal of helping other teenagers make informed decisions about SRH.

 

IG recruits participants from partner schools and other youth-focused NGOs in the communities surrounding the Guatemala City landfill
